EMBRACE KINGDOM LABOUR
KEY TEXTS:
Matthew 28:18
1 Samuel17:8-11
Isaiah 6:8
Luke1:38
We shall be examining 3 case
study from the holy-scriptures of those that embraced the Kingdom labour in
their time. Two cases from the Old Testament and One from the New Testament. We
shall pray their characteristics into our own lives.
·
Firstly, we need to remind ourselves specifically
what Kingdom Labour means from the book of Matthew 28:16 -20
The
Great Commission
16 Then
the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them
to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then
Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been
given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and
teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you
always, to the very end of the age.”
·
1 Samuel 17:8-11 David embraced the labour when
he heard and saw the reproach of the Philistine against the Army of the living
God and he willingly presented himself.
Pray for
the eyes that sees and the ear that hears (Proverb 20:12: The hearing ear, and
the Seeing Eye, the LORD hath made even both of them).
·
Isaiah 6:8
The book
of Isaiah case study reveals the divine principle of a life pleasing to the
Lord before our service. The Lord God had to sanctify and cleansed away his
iniquities according to the scripture. This is what the Calvary has done to us
when we presented our lives to the Lord.
Isaiah
heard the Lord’s need and He answered “Here am I! Sent me”
We are
saved to serve: we should be an answer to the needs of the Lord. Again, Isaiah
willingly answered the Lord and embraced the calling.
Pray for
the willing heart to embrace the Kingdom Labour
·
Luke 1: 38
The
scripture reveals 2 key characteristics of Mary as she responded, and we shall
also pray this into our lives: submission and faith
Mary
submitted to the Lord without having full details of the assignment by Faith.
Pray for
the heart that easily submit to the Kingdom labour and helps our faith
